Austin-based RapidCanvas announced a $29 million Series B round on October 16, 2026. Vertex Ventures SEA and India led it, with Hitachi Ventures joining and earlier backers Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners and Titanium Ventures also taking part. The company says the deal brings its total funding to $52.5 million.

RapidCanvas mixes software with people. Its field AI engineers learn how a customer's business works, build custom AI applications on the company's platform, and stay responsible for the results after launch. The platform has three parts: a context engine that records how a business process runs, a visual canvas for building solutions from a library of reusable skills, and a harness for running and governing those solutions in production. It is sold as a subscription. The company says its annual recurring revenue grew eight times over the past six quarters and that more than 75 enterprises have used apps built on it this year. Its target market is companies with $100 million to $10 billion in revenue that want AI results but lack specialist staff. The money will go to sales, partner networks and hiring engineers in the U.S., Brazil and India.

Why it matters

Investors are backing the idea that mid-sized companies need hands-on help, not just tools, to get AI out of the pilot stage.
