Meta introduced a feature called Spaces inside its Muse app that lets a user describe an idea in plain language and get back a persistent, custom surface built around it. Examples Meta gives include a holiday gift tracker, a daily word game, or a DIY project planning board. Once created, a Space can be pinned in the app's sidebar or in the main tabs for easy access, and items inside it can be checked off or have notes edited directly in place, similar to a lightweight personal app. Spaces is now available everywhere Muse itself is offered. Alongside this, Meta said it is rolling out specialized versions of its existing AI models into Muse, built using lessons learned from an internal effort called Muse Wonder.

Why it matters

Letting users generate their own small, persistent tools from a description is a step toward AI apps that behave more like flexible software than static chatbots.
