Qoder has started offering free access to a stealth model called Qoduck, whose underlying identity has not been revealed. Starting November 7, 2026, individual users on Qoder's International plan get a daily allowance where using Qoduck costs nothing, even at the model's highest thinking intensity. This applies even to free accounts and those with zero credits remaining. Normally, model usage is billed at a 0.5x credit rate, but within the free daily allowance that rate drops to zero for Qoduck specifically. Once someone goes past their daily allowance, pricing returns to the standard 0.5x rate. Paid individual plan subscribers get a larger free allowance than users on the free tier, giving them more chances to try the model each day. Team and Enterprise plan customers are not included in this offer and will not see Qoduck available in their accounts at all. Qoder has not said when the free offer will end, leaving it open-ended for now. The move appears aimed at getting more developers to test the unnamed model and compare its performance before Qoder decides on longer-term pricing.
Why it matters
Free access to an unidentified new model lets developers compare its coding and reasoning performance against known competitors at no cost.
